Step 1 : Download and install ADB and Fast boot tools on your computer from google.
Step 2 : Download the a custom recovery from official twrp website for your Redmi device.
Step 3 : From github website download latest version of Magisk, which tool is mostly used for rooting different Android devices.
Step 4 : Boot your phone into Fastboot Mode first Power off your device, then press and hold the Power and Volume Down buttons together to boot into Fastboot mode.
Step 5 : Connect your Redmi smart phone to the computer via USB cable. Open a command prompt or terminal window on your computer and navigate to the folder where ADB and Fastboot tools are installed. Use the command `fastboot flash recovery and file name .img to flash the custom recovery onto your Redmi phone
